Stunning upcycled machine dial wall clock
This is a beautiful example of upcycling. The clock face is a vintage machine dial from a leather sizing machine by The Turner Tanning Machinery Co Ltd, post 1935. The dial was rescued and has had
minimal restoration, essentially it has been sensitively cleaned so that it retains its character and then protected with a clear lacquer coat. A battery operated clock working has been added with
large ornate clock hands to turn this into a fabulous wall clock that would be a brilliant feature item in any home, restaurant or shop. Of particular interest to those local to us in
Northamptonshire where it has a direct connection to the historical leather tanning and shoe making industry. Measures 51cm across.
Please contact us if you'd like to see more photos and some extra pictures which show an example of the machine this would have originally been fixed to and an original company advertising artwork (circa 1935).
Our handmade hardwood fob clocks make a perfect gift for someone special or a treat for yourself. Their small size (with a 30mm clock face) means that they can be kept in your pocket or on a desk. These fob clocks can be made to order in a range of beautiful hardwoods and a variety of shapes and can even be provided strung on a leather thong.
Each fob clock comes provided with a spare watch battery and presented in a blue velveteen bag.
